Celebrating Caregivers

"Celebrating family caregivers raises awareness of family caregiver issues, acknowledges their contributions and efforts and increases support for family caregivers."

A Caregiver is anyone who cares for a family member or friend living with challenges due to disability, aging or illness.  There are many caregivers on the Lower North Shore. Chances are; you are one, or know of one – you just think of them of as spouses, parents, children or friends.

During the month of November, events, celebrating caregivers took place in Kegaska, Tête a la Baleine and St. Paul’s River. During the month of November, La Tabatiere, St. Augustine, Harrington, Chevery, Old Fort Bay and Blanc Sablon will host an event. Keep your eyes and ears open for an upcoming event in your community!

Special Thanks to L’APPUI for funding these events!

Take the time to recognize the caregivers in your life.
