Day Centers for seniors and those with a loss of autonomy
The The Day Centers operates with the support of the senior clubs and/or supported by advisory groups in the following communities;
Harrington Harbour: The Day center operates nineteen (19) hours per week; fourteen (14) hours to organize and carryout activities with seniors at the pavilion and five (5) hours per week to offer respite service in the community.
La Tabatiere: Seniors are offered a “books on wheels” program, craft day, exercise classes, suppers, and Day center activities. Respites services are also offered in the community. Thirty three (33) hours are invested in carrying out the above mentioned activities.
Tête a la Baleine: The Day Center has been on hold, due to the shortage of an Animator. However, as of December 1st, an animator was hired to carry out activities and to offer respite services in the community. A total of fifteen (15) hours will aid in providing theses services to the community.

St. Augustine: The Day center in St. Augustine provides seven (7) hours of activities to its seniors and five (5) hours of respite to the community. The Animator also offered seven (7) hours of animator to the disabled population (group accessibility members), however due to time constraints, it was impossible to carry out all activities, thus the position was split. The Day Center Animator will work with the seniors and offer the respite services to the community and another animator was hired to offer services to the disabled population (group accessibility members),.
We are happy to say that as of December 8th, 2014, Natasha Young was hired as Animator, she will be working ten (10) hours per week with group accessibility members. Welcome to the team Natasha!
Bonne Esperance: The Day center operates twenty (20) hours per week; ten (10) hours to organize and carryout activities with seniors and ten (10) hours per week to offer respite service in the community.
Blanc Sablon: The Day center has been put on hold due to lack on animator and space. There are twenty (20) hours per week available to carryout activities; ten (10) hours to organize and carryout activities with seniors and ten (10) hours per week to offer respite service in the community. A local has finally been established with Commission Scolaire du Littoral for a space at St. Theresa School in Blanc Sablon.
