This was possible with the support of the H.O.M.E. Committee which consists of 4 regional partners; Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de la Côte-Nord, Centre de services scolaire du Littoral, MRC du Golfe du Saint Laurent, and CEDEC. Along with Steel River Group, a partner based in Alberta has a passion for the economic development of the Lower North Shore. We recognize that the region’s sustainability requires a strong focus on youth employability, retention and engagement in the communities.
Latesha Fequet, the Place aux Jeunes Migration Agent, who started in the position on September 8th, 2020, will undoubtedly be a solid asset to the Coasters Association team and responsible for coordinating activities aimed at the migration, establishment and retention of young professionals ages 18-35. This includes organizing, planning, and leading exploratory stays, working with local employers to help them find a qualified workforce, and working with the H.O.M.E. committee to develop and deploy initiatives that link to the Place aux Jeunes mandate. This will also aid in the Coasters Association having stronger links with the Secretariat Jeunesse for Quebec.
